Meet Dr. M.P.Braverman
Dr. Marty Braverman received his dental degree from the University of British Columbia in 1978.  After practicing general dentistry for two years, Marty completed his advanced studies residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.  Marty returned to his hometown of Vancouver where the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia awarded him his certification as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  After joining Dr. Bill Walter in 1984 they both established their practice at the Oakridge Centre in Vancouver and eventually in the Newton area of Surrey.
Marty has been involved with the College of Dental Surgeons as Chair of the Out of Hospital Anesthesia Accreditation Committee.  He is currently President of the British Columbia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Marty is also an International Board Member of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.  Since 1984, Marty has taught Oral Surgery at the University of British Columbia and is recognized as an Assistant Clinical Professor.  Dr. Braverman has lectured locally and nationally in various topics related to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is often asked to speak on surgery of the Temporomandibular Joint, an area of surgery that interests him the most.  Recently Marty was awarded his Fellowship in the International College of Dentists for his professional and community involvement.
Marty has been married to Janet for over 30 years and they have three boys, Adam, Landon, and Jared.  Adam was recently married to their daughter-in-law, Erin. Both Marty and Janet have been involved in their community for many years.  Marty recently finished the presidency of their synagogue, Congregation Beth Israel.  When not in the office Marty and Janet are often traveling, or Marty is skiing at Whistler in the winter or golfing in the summer.

Meet Dr. R.P.Grewal
Dr. Raymon Grewal received his Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Histology from McGill University.  In 2001, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Ivy League institution of Columbia University in New York City.  He later went on to pursue his additional four years of training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of Saint Raphael/Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. 
After the completion of his residency in July of 2005, Dr. Grewal joined a well respected oral and maxillofacial surgery group in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After practicing for four years in the United States, he made the decision to return to Vancouver where he was born and raised.  He is a board certified specialist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.  In addition, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia Dental School and is an attending surgeon at BC Children's Hospital and Lion's Gate Hospital. Dr. Grewal currently serves on the Board of Directors of the BC Dental Association and on the Executive Committee of the Dental Specialists Society of BC. 
Dr. Grewal practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with special interest in dentoalveolar procedures, anesthesia, implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, and trauma.  Outside of practice, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball, and spending time with his family and friends.
